About Kinky Boots

The most "fun, feel-good and unforgettable" (The Sun) musical of the season is now open at the London Coliseum. Kinky Boots, the Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning sensation, is rebooted in this brand-new production that The Stage calls "a sequin-soaked fantasia on the West End’s biggest stage".

Featuring "a fierce and fabulous performance" (Evening Standard) from Strictly Come Dancing superstar Johannes Radebe and the "immaculate vocals" (The Scotsman) of X Factor winner Matt Cardle, this "sparkly, joyful and life-affirming" production (Daily Star) runs at London Coliseum until 11th July.

Based on an uplifting true story and the much-loved movie, Kinky Boots brings together music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper and a hilarious book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, under the direction of award-winning Nikolai Foster (Grease, The Wizard of Oz), to create "a glorious revival of a modern Broadway classic" (The Stage).

When Charlie Price inherits his family’s failing shoe factory, saving the company - and his love life - feels like an impossibly tall order. Until he meets Lola, the sparkling, larger-than-life drag queen with the unlikeliest of answers. Can they work together to reboot the business and save the day? Perhaps they just need to help each other, and everyone around them, to stand a little taller…

(Please be aware that Johannes Radebe will not be performing on Monday performances, the 26 March matinee performance and 26 June.)
