Vincent Villuis, also known as AES DANA, is a composer, sound designer, DJ, and the founder of the Ultimae records label. With over 25 years of experience in the electronic music scene and as a founding member of the Asura band, he has a diverse musical background, including playing bass and singing in coldwave and industrial bands during his teenage years. Vincent's transition to composing with machines led him to specialize in audio sampling and the digital transmutation of acoustic sounds, creating music that blends Deep Ambient, Downtempo, IDM, Electronica Neo-Classical, Indus, and Minimal Drum’n’Bass. AES Dana has released 9 albums, a collection of audio samples, numerous compilation tracks, and collaborated with artists like Magnus Birgersson (Solar Fields) under the H.U.V.A. NETWORK for 3 albums, and with MIKTEK on 3 EPs, culminating in the concept album "Far & Off". His music library "Aethers" was voted the best Cinematic Ambient sound bank in 2015.
