"It's rare you see such an effortless talent. Lucy is charismatic and cool through and through." - Mathew Bridgeman, Promoter

Lucy Randell approaches the music of Amy Winehouse with deep respect for its musical intelligence and emotional detail. Her focus lies in timing, phrasing and tonal nuance, echoing the way Winehouse placed a lyric just behind the beat or allowed a note to dissolve into silence. Rather than mimicry, Lucy offers interpretation, drawing on her own grounding in jazz and soul.

Her career includes collaborations with leading session musicians alongside performances across the UK and Australia. She has appeared on stages synonymous with British jazz culture including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, The Jazz Café and KOKO, venues closely associated with Amy Winehouse herself. Speaking at a Camden Market event, Lucy described her approach:

"To sing Amy Winehouse you have to recognise that rhythm and tonal texture, and her timing. You really have to listen to how she lands her syllables." Camden New Journal

The set draws from Back to Black and Frank, presented through Lucy's own arrangements and instrumentation.

Highlights often include "Valerie""Tears Dry On Their Own""Rehab" and"Back to Black". Space is given to the band, allowing piano, upright bass, guitar and drums to reflect Winehouse's deep roots in jazz, soul and R&B.

Within Boisdale's live-music restaurant setting, intimacy matters. Every breath, inflection and phrase is heard in close detail, creating a dialogue between artist and repertoire that values musicianship over spectacle.
