Biscuits for Breakfast
The Courtyard Theatre, London.
In a world where getting by can feel like survival, Biscuits for Breakfast tells a quietly powerful story of two people navigating love, pride and the reality of going without.
A series of intimate, everyday moments, this honest and deeply human play explores what happens behind closed doors when money is tight and choices are limited. With warmth, humour and unflinching truth, Gareth Farr's writing shines a light on food poverty, relationships under pressure and the small acts of care that keep us going.
Raw and painfully relatable, this is a story that reminds us how close any of us can be to the edge and how connection can be the thing that pulls us back.
Kaleidoscope Collective Arts is proud to be partnering with Hackney Foodbank alongside this production to help raise awareness around the play’s themes of food poverty and financial hardship. Through this partnership, we will donate a non-perishable food item for every ticket sold and encourage audiences to bring canned or non-perishable donations to the performance.
Presented by Kaleidoscope Collective Arts An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books Directed by Georgia Grace Gavin.
