After building a name on local sound systems in St Ann's, Chezidek draws on the legacy of fellow natives Marcus Garvey, Burning Spear and Bob Marley.

'The Herbalist’ broke through as a distinct, soulful voice in reggae, with hits such as ‘All My Life’, and ‘Call Pon Dem’, the latter granting a cult following due to its inclusion in GTA IV.

Two decades on, he remains one of the true torchbearers of roots reggae, uncompromising and rooted in where he started.
