Enjoy this exceptional performance, part of the Strand Chamber Music Series 2025 in the beautiful candlelit venue of St Mary le Strand. A unique opportunity to experience some of the UK's leading chamber music artists, the series will cover a broad spectrum of repertoire from ensemble works by baroque, classical, romantic and 20th century composers. St Mary le Strand is a stunning and intimate venue, the perfect setting for this musical experience. There are also many bars and restaurants nearby to complete your evening. Turkish Double Bassist Daniil Margulis is the joint 1st prize winner of the 2nd International Double Bass Competition of Belgium as well as 2nd prize winner at the Huddersfield “Mrs Sunderland” Festival Young Soloist of the Year competition. Daniil made his concerto debut with Stringendo Ensemble under the baton of Pascale Van Os at the Alden Biesen Castle in Belgium in 2024 as well as an appearance in Wigmore Hall, performing Krzysztof Penderecki’s “Duo Concertante”.

As a chamber musician he was featured on BBC radio 3 “In Tune” and appears on “Robert Simpson - Chamber Music Volume One” released by Toccata Records. He was invited as the guest artist for the opening night concert of the 20th International Gümüslük Music Festival. Recent orchestral performances include appearances with the Orchestra of the English National Opera, Royal Northern Sinfonia and Orpheus Sinfonia.
He has performed in countries such as Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Montenegro and Bosnia as well as Turkey and UK. After completing his studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School where he studied on a full scholarship, Daniil currently continues his Master of Performance studies with Caroline Emery at the Royal College of Music in London. He is kindly supported by Talent Unlimited, Eczacibasi Music Scholarship, Loan Fund for Musical Instruments and Anonymous donors.
Svitlana Kosenko was born in Ukraine and studied first in Kharkiv Special Music School with professor Svitlana Zaharova. After graduating with a Bachelor and a Masters degree from Kharkiv University of Arts, where she studied with professor Natalya Melnikova, Svitlana returned to work as a principal piano teacher at her alma mater Kharkiv Special Music School.
