Fruity Walks at Chelsea Physic Garden
Join Fruity Walks for a storytelling walk through Chelsea Physic Garden, seeking out the fruit trees growing among its beds and borders, as well as the folklore, journeys and human stories carried in the fruits they bear.
Part of the Garden's Folklore ReRooted season, this walk focuses on the Garden's fruit trees to unpick the myths, rituals and old wives' tales rooted in each one. We will trace how these fruits first travelled to Britain, carried across seas and centuries through trade, migration and exchange. Through tree identification, mindfulness and storytelling, we'll explore how the fruits we now take for granted arrived from far away, and how tending green spaces remains an act of collective care that makes our city feel like home for millions of people from all over the world.
Led by Divya Hariramani Herrero, urban fruit tree forager and founder of Fruity Walks, this walk invites you to listen, learn, and reimagine our relationship with the London fruit trees we live alongside, one story at a time.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
This workshop is designed for children ages 5 and up. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under close supervision as there is deep water and numerous poisonous plants.
Registered support dogs are welcome in the Garden, no other pets are allowed.
Unfortunately we cannot look after your luggage and we don't have any cloakroom facilities at the Garden.
There are a couple of council bike racks on Royal Hospital Road, unfortunately we do not have racks in the Garden due to lack of space and we can't look after your bicycle for you.
