Future Icons

The Penthouse, The House of KOKO, London.

This spring and summer, we bring you ‘Future Icons’ a new series of intimate music showcases live in the Penthouse, brought to you in collaboration with our friends at Ray-Ban.

An iconic brand with a rock’n’roll history celebrating fierce aesthetics and worn by everyone from FKA Twigs to A$AP Rocky, the four-part series will spotlight the most experimental and leftfield artists breaking through at the moment.

First up on April 29th is the boundary-pushing sounds of Nigerian Alté star Deto Black - hailed by Notion magazine as one of “a crop of artists unequivocally changing the landscape of West African music”. Joining her is rising South West London singer and rapper Emil James, with DJs playing until late.

Each performance will be centred around the unique outlook of one of Ray-Ban’s signature frames, from Aviator (timeless genres, redefined) to Wayfarer (the artists evolving old school sounds into a new language) to Meta (for those building their own lanes, digitally).
