Jacob Hawley is a smart, incisive young comic who has already amassed an impressive body of work and is well in for a shout to be the voice of his generation. He has appeared on The Russell Howard Hour, The Stand Up Sketch Show, BBC 3’s hit sitcom Ladhood and multiple BBC Comedy shorts. His first two Edinburgh Fringe shows ‘Howl’ and ‘Faliraki’ were both translated into BBC Radio 4 Stand Up Specials, with his second special ‘Class Act’ being named The Guardian’s Pick Of The Week. Jacob has written for The Sunday Times, Mock The Week, The BBC, and is a regular columnist for The Metro.

He was awarded a Radio Academy award which he accepted at London’s Palladium for Best New Voice for his hit BBC Sounds podcast Jacob Hawley: On Drugs, one of the BBC’s first original podcasts, a show which regularly featured in the iTunes top 12 podcasts and amassed over half a million downloads. The series was followed by two more commissions, Jacob Hawley’s Job Centre, and Jacob Hawley: On Love, which both received critical acclaim and hundreds of thousands of downloads.

He is also the co-host of The Screen Rot Podcast with Jake Farrell, which has climbed to no.1 on the UK Spotify charts and has a loyal following of fans.

“Intelligent & important, his self-aware set sees him explore themes of class and identity in the modern world expertly.” ★★★★ Sunday Post
