East London’s KeepVibesNear crafts leftfield alt-R&B that challenges the rigid framework of masculinity, pulling apart the idea that vulnerability is something to be hidden. There’s no performative sadness here, just lived experience, unfiltered and unafraid. His upcoming releases bring new shades to his already rich palette, furthering a sound that’s as introspective as it is progressive.
A key player in The Silhouettes Project, KVN helped shape its movement, culminating in a headline set at KOKO in 2024 - just one moment in a string of performances, from We Out Here and Cross The Tracks to Brick Lane Jazz Festival and an opening slot for Loyle Carner in Hamburg.
FloFilz, Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn, Jords, Kojey Radical, Ray Lozano, Benny Banks, Coops - the list is already stacked in terms of collaboration, a reflection of the way his smooth vocals slot effortlessly into a variety of worlds.
