Merging Latin and African rhythms, cumbia is the sound of pulsating drums, soul-stirring melodies, maracas, and accordion. All of which is set to get audiences dancing the world over. The musical group, Manzanita y Su Conjunto, gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s for their truly electrifying sounds of Peruvian cumbia and Cuban guaracha music. No one is better placed to pay homage to Manzanita than his own son, Manzanita Jr, recreating the party magic with a full live band.
