"Odyssey's music still brings that timeless disco magic to any dancefloor." - Disco Fever Magazine
Odyssey don't need a long introduction. The first pulse of "Native New Yorker", the lift of "Going Back to My Roots", the rush of "Use It Up and Wear It Out", and the room knows exactly where it is.
Emerging from New York's disco and soul scene in the late 1970s, Odyssey built a catalogue that moved between dancefloor glamour, soulful storytelling and Latin-flavoured groove. "Native New Yorker" became a major international hit, reaching No. 5 in the UK, while "Use It Up and Wear It Out" topped the UK Singles Chart in 1980. "Going Back to My Roots" followed as another defining anthem, reaching No. 4 in the UK and remaining one of the group's most enduring songs.
Now led by Steven Collazo, Odyssey continue to bring that sound to stages across the UK and beyond, keeping the spirit of the group alive through songs that still feel built for celebration. Their live show draws on decades of disco, soul and funk, with the kind of choruses that pull people out of their seats without needing to ask twice.
Expect a set full of classics including "Native New Yorker", "Going Back to My Roots" and "Use It Up and Wear It Out", music that still carries the polish, rhythm and communal joy of the disco era.
The venue features a refined restaurant, four exclusive private dining rooms, the distinguished Hine Bar, an extensive whisky and wine selection, a sophisticated Cigar Lounge and an inviting Heated Garden Terrace - making it a haven for discerning patrons seeking the finest in dining, music and atmosphere. On weekends, the vibrant first-floor bar and terrace come to life with DJ Nights, adding another dimension to the Boisdale experience.
Starting out performing in New York dance clubs they hit the big time in 1977 with their iconic disco cuts "Native New Yorker" and "Easy Come, Easy Go", two gems that brilliantly captured the NY scene at the time. "Don't Tell Me, Tell Her" and the smash hit "Going Back to My Roots" soon followed, cementing the group's place in disco history.
