Trumpeter, composer and arranger Philip Lassiter has been knee-deep in the funk since his days as horn arranger & section leader in Prince's New Power Generation.
The 11-time Grammy award-winning arranger has his roots in Texas funk, Alabama gospel, New Orleans jazz and Nashville soul, and has performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world.
Lassiter's top-tier compositions and arrangements - featuring his virtuosic trumpet playing - have landed him gigs with Kirk Franklin, Jill Scott, The Isley Brothers, Roberta Flack and many more.
Now in support of his recent solo album 'Soul Of The World' - he tours with a star-studded 5 piece live band this February to bring the funk to London's 229.
