POPULOUS Live

Italy-based producer, artist and Latinambient label founder, POPULOUS joins us following the release of his latest album.

His first album Quipo, an ethereal indietronica release, was published by was by Berlin based Morr Music in 2003. The abstract soundscape is a fusion of musical vibes of the southern hemisphere and European cult labels.

Using music as a form of exploration, POPULOUS examines topics such as identity, community, ecoanxiety, love and queerness. His recent release Isla Diferente blends the ethereal sweetness of ambient music with the physicality of electronic and experimental Latin rhythms. Connecting with his beliefs on the healing power of ecstatic dance, the album's soundscapes evoke vibrations of this movement.
