Oud, voice, electronics and expansive arrangements meet around Sulaf’s extraordinary vocals, creating a sound that carries Sudan’s spirit far beyond its borders.

Drawing on Nubian rhythms, devotional traditions and the Sufi poetry of her great-grandfather, she explores themes of loss, identity, memory and resilience throughout her debut album ABA.
