Comedy Club: Milton Jones, Desiree Burch, Ian Smith & Blank Peng
A huge night of comedy, headlined by Milton Jones, the king of surreal one-liners and a firm favourite from Mock the Week. He's joined by Ian Smith, whose brilliantly frantic and critically acclaimed stand-up has earned him widespread praise and award nominations.
Also on the bill is the fantastic Desiree Burch, known for her bold, razor-sharp comedy and commanding stage presence. Completing the line-up is Blank Peng, whose witty, culturally observant material is making waves across the UK comedy circuit.
Milton Jones
Milton Jones is a stand-up comedian famous for his rapid-fire, surreal one-liners. He has starred on Mock the Week - BBC 2, Live at the Apollo - BBC1, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow - BBC 1 and House of Games - BBC 2. Milton can also be heard across a mammoth fourteen series of his own shows on BBC Radio 4, and performs regularly on the radio classic I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue. Milton's previous tour shows, Milton Impossible, Milton Jones is Out There, Milton Jones On The Road, and HA!MILTON each performed to over one hundred thousand people.
Desiree Burch
Desiree Burch is a comedian, writer, actor, theatre-maker, and NY-to-London transplant. Desiree has quickly and firmly established herself as one of the break-out comic stars in the UK. She is the host and voice of Netflix's smash reality hit Too Hot To Handle, star of C4's Taskmaster Series 12, and has hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC 2). Desiree Burch exploded onto the UK comedy scene, winning the 2015 Funny Women Award. Since then, she has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC), Have I Got News For You (BBC), Qi (BBC), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Mock The Week (BBC2), Insert Name Here (BBC2), Frankie Boyle's New World Order (BBC2), and co-hosted Netflix series Flinch. Desiree recorded her critically acclaimed, debut Edinburgh festival show, This Is Evolution as a TV special for Live From The BBC (BBC3) and has recorded a second stand-up special for Comedy Central. Her show Unfuckable was a sold out hit at The Edinburgh Fringe and went on to two fantastic, sold out runs at The Soho Theatre.
Ian Smith
As seen on BBC Live at the Apollo, BBC Have I Got News For You and ITV's The Stand Up Sketch Show - and heard on BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth, Just A Minute and his own stand-up series Ian Smith is Stressed.
Blank Peng
Blank is making her mark as one of the UK's most distinctive and compelling new comedy talents. She began her comedy journey performing stand-up in Mandarin before moving to London in 2022, committing herself to learning and mastering comedy in English. Since then, she has rapidly carved out a formidable reputation on the UK circuit, becoming a sought-after weekend act at the country's leading comedy clubs. Blank was a Finalist of the BBC New Comedy Award, and TV credits include C4's 'A Comedy Thing' and BBC panel show QI.
This event is part of Summer Daze Festival, a brand new four day summer festival bringing together theatre, comedy, live music and family friendly activities across Wood Wharf.

Audience seating is unreserved and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
