The Marquee Club All Star Band revives the spirit of the legendary Marquee Club with a powerhouse line-up of A-list musicians.

A heavyweight line-up reviving the raw spirit of Soho’s most storied stage. At the helm is Mel Gaynor, the driving force behind Simple Minds, whose sticks have also backed Elton John, Tina Turner and Lou Reed. Joining him is the genre-straddling Gus Isidore on guitar - the left-handed Londoner who co-wrote Seal’s platinum hit “Prayer for the Dying” and has worked with Peter Gabriel, Mark Bolan and Peter Green. On keys, Steve Salvari (Chaka Khan, The Four Tops, Robert Palmer) adds soul and sheen. Vocals and bass come courtesy of Robert Jacques and Tom Farrelly, rising stars from Third Lung, tipped by BBC 6 Music.

Together they channel the legacy of the Marquee Club — where the Stones, Bowie, Hendrix and The Who made history - with bold, electric takes on the sounds that shook Soho. Their upcoming performance at Boisdale Canary Wharf promises a high-energy celebration of the iconic space’s golden eras - powerful renditions from the Rolling Stones to Hendrix, Queen to Fleetwood Mac - performed by seasoned players who’ve shared stages with those same giants and now bring the club’s spirit roaring into the present. A rare chance to hear the music that shaped generations, played by those who shaped it right back.
