Violeta Vicci and Bruno Bavota say: be human

Join us for a deep listening experience, in the moment improvisations, a musical conversation between piano, violin, voice and subtle electronics ; a live performance of Be Human, the first album as a duo by Violeta Vicci and Bruno Bavota, set for release through UK independent label Bigo & Twigetti on 8 May.

Guitar and electronic set by Roger Goula to open the night.

"Be Human is a beautifully spontaneous record, where inspiration and the energy of a new encounter came together in a very special and unexpected way.Harmonic simplicity, first takes, no overthinking or overproducing lead to a most magical result. We were both surprised how well we understood each other's musical language so seamlessly. Each track is a dialogue, mapping life's ups and downs, compromises, raw emotions, a beauty born from contrast. This is more than a collaboration, it tells a universal story - life's journey we all go through, a journey within and beyond. It tells the story of what it means to be human."

About Roger Goula

Composer of Academy nominated and BAFTA, Cannes, Sundance winning feature films, Roger Goula is a London-based multi-instrumentalist whose range of original works spans across albums, film, dance, TV, theatre and art installations. Inspired by renaissance and baroque music, as well as minimalism, Roger's music delves into an experimental approach of blending electronics with classical chamber and orchestral music through repetition of minimal elements and emotionally-transporting textures.
