Simply Windsor Castle Tour Dates and Times

Departing from Central London, your driver will take you straight to Windsor Castle for an extended visit. Upon arrival, you will be offered an audio guide available in multiple languages.

Windsor Castle

Steeped in history, Windsor Castle perches proudly on a lush wooded hill overlooking the Thames. Dating back to Norman times, with sweeping landscaped gardens and turreted Round Tower, it’s easy to see why it’s the King’s favourite weekend residence. Enjoy a fascinating through–the–keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and visit St. George’s Chapel, the atmospheric final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII. You can visit Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, a truly incredible structure complete with working lifts, running water, electricity and wine bottles, all in miniature! This tour is unescorted and you will spend approximately 2 hours in Windsor Castle.

Please note: Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A walking tour of Windsor operates on these days.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday 24-26 December Castle closed Semi-State Rooms During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route. St. George’s Chapel St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.

It also closes at 4pm during the week, so please ensure that this is one of the first places you visit upon arrival. Windsor castle is closed on 26th of December so we will be operating a walking tour of Windsor instead. Please show this e-ticket to gain entry to this tour. This tour is unescorted. During peak periods additional vehicles without Wi-Fi may be used. Our vehicles are modern, comfortable and deep cleaned daily. A family ticket includes 2 adult tickets + 2 child tickets. Infants aged 0-2 can join this tour for free however they must sit on the lap of a parent/guardian. If you would like a seat for your infant, please purchase a child ticket. We do not provide car seats.
