Join kitchen witch Laura May for Sip & Spell, an intimate, hands-on workshop where tea becomes a vessel for intention and magic. You’ll be introduced to twelve carefully selected dried herbs and flowers - along with a few of Laura’s homemade syrups from her book, Kitchen Magic; 65 Enchanting Recipes for a Cosy Witchy Kitchen.
You will be guided through the folklore, symbolism, and magical properties of each plant. You will then be able to craft your own custom loose-leaf tea blends based on your personal intentions. As your tea steeps, Laura will lead a gentle ritual, teaching you the sigil method made popular by London spiritualist Austin Osman Spare - an empowering way to turn your intention into a symbol of magic and a little piece of occult London history.
This is a sensory and soulful introduction to kitchen witchery through the art of tea. Learn how to blend herbs with purpose, charge your cup with meaning, and sip with ceremony.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite mug to make the experience more personal.
When you arrive:

- Entrance will be via 66 Royal Hospital Road.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under close supervision as there is deep water and numerous poisonous plants.
Registered support dogs are welcome in the Garden, no other pets are allowed.
Unfortunately we cannot look after your luggage and we don't have any cloakroom facilities at the Garden.
There are a couple of council bike racks on Royal Hospital Road, unfortunately we do not have racks in the Garden due to lack of space and we can't look after your bicycle for you.
Concessionary rates are available for groups of 10+. Please visit our Groups page.
